A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GERBIL I am Betsy, the gerbil, and I live in the Gobi desert. I woke up this morning and I got a big blue beetle for breakfast. I then decided to finish marking my territory around my burrow. I then ate a grass stem for my lunch. Afterwards, I built a new room in my burrow. I was than thoroughly tired, so I ate a green beetle, and went to sleep.
