DIRECTORATE GENERAL FOR ENERGY AND TRANSPORT ASAS-TN2 3rd Workshop – Glasgow 11 September 2006 The next barrier to progress ? u ADS-B vs 4-D : Likely to be the same unproductive holy war that we’ve had with Datalink ! u Commission view is that 4-D and ADS-B are complementary: 4-D for planning and avoid overload in certain areas to ensure system efficiency ADS-B for local tactical control to ensure safety and maximise capacity

MAKE IT HAPPEN
