Page Sizes/Orientation Two common paper sizes used:  Letter – 8 ½ inches x 11 inches  Legal – 8 ½ inches x 14 inches Two common types of page orientation:  Portrait – longer than it is wide  Landscape – wider than it is long

Page Size/Orientation  Drop Down Menu -> Format -> Page

Margins (Frame)  White space around all sides of the document  Default settings for margins  3 Reasons  Unprofessional look– would fill the whole page  Binding the document  Printers are unable to print in that space (1.3 cm minimum)
