 Review your outline: Organize/Label your outline into “Introduction, Body, and Conclusion” if you have not done so already.

 The future questions may be answered in the outline out of order as long as it is labeled to be in a particular order.  Write your name and what slide you are grading.  Review the outline based on the following questions.  Make any comments about their information, whether they are missing information, their information is not detailed enough, or it is done well.

 Does it offer the background of the problem? Is it explained well?  Does it offer his/her general view about the problem? Is it explained well?  Does it give a quick reference to 1984?  Does it have a thesis?

 Label each body paragraph with the outcome being discussed.  Does it have a clear topic sentence?

 Is each outcome being presented as negative? Is each outcome introduced well?  Does at least one paragraph have a quote from Equilibrium? Does at least one paragraph have a quote from V for Vendetta? Does every body paragraph have at least one quote from 1984? Are the quotes cited correctly?

 Is each quote addressed in the context of the source? Is it explained well?  Is each quote addressed in how it supports the topic sentence? Is it explained well?  Does the first explanation transition well to the next?

 Does it explain his/her view about the future evolution of the problem?  Does it state his/her view of what might happen if this problem is not solved?

 Is the tone of their argument consistent throughout their essay?  Does he/she have enough information to write a thousand word essay?  Would you be able to write a thousand word essay based solely on his/her outline?

 The Jane Schaffer method is training wheels to become a better writer.  Keeping in mind that all of the same information and transitions need to exist, try to rearrange the parts of the body paragraphs in creative and conducive ways.
