Implementation of Microsoft Lync as our new phone system Installation of all necessary software/equipment Responsible for all budgetary and management decisions Removal of current phone system (EOL) Training of all staff on the new system Creation of all necessary training materials Project began July 1, 2013 and ends June 28, 2013 Background

Needs Assessment/Research Face to Face Online Course Screencast Tutorials/Online resources Help Desk Support Hybrid Learning 1200 Employees 125+ locations SWOT Analysis

Research Outcomes Different departments and staff have different needs Staff were split between online materials and face to face training Materials would need to be created that were customized for our environment Individualized instruction Hybrid Approach met the most requirements

Challenges Unable to train 1200 employees with face to face training Staff spread across multiple locations Face to face trainings needed to be under 2 hours in length Customer service standards would need to be addressed Technical issues with Microsoft Lync itself Some training materials would need to be created post implementation

Outcomes Face to face trainings held in multiple locations Customized Adobe Captivate tutorial created Support materials created and made available via our staff portal Staff feedback surveys Under budget No major technical issues

Results/Future Efforts 61.5% rated the live trainings as excellent, 34.6% rated them as good, 3.8% rated them as poor 73.1% rated the online materials as excellent, 15.3% rated them as good, 11.6% rated them as poor 92% approval rating Template for future initiatives Training opportunities outside the IU
