School Safety Never leave school with anyone without a Parent Pass. May I see your Parent Pass? Although this did not happen in our school district area, we think one missing child is too many.
Safe School Policy In accordance with our Safe School Policy and to protect our students: Parents/guardians are provided with a school identification badge and are asked to wear it at all times when entering the school campus All visitors, including parents without their badges, are required to report to the Main Office to sign in and obtain a visitor badge, which must be worn while in the School Individuals under the age of 18 years who wish to visit the School must be accompanied by a parent, unless prior arrangements have been made for their visit
From safe to safer We have: Fenced Private Property Closed Circuit TV Surveillance Systems PC Based Digital Video Recording 24/7 Security Lighting in the Parking Lot Doors are locked except 8:00 to 8:30 am and 3:30 to 4:00 pm for drop-off and pick-up Alarm will be on when the doors are opened
Parents are Partners Parents and Students are asked not to allow anyone into the School unless they are identifiable by their badge
Protect our children by teaching
In an emergency that Parents are not available to pick up his or her child Please call the School if you are not available to pick up your child and advise us the special pick-up arrangement so that we can inform the child accordingly Please inform your authorized pick-up person to have photo ID ready such as Driver Licence and report to the Main Office The Main Office will take a copy of the photo ID and stored in the student record before releasing your child
We never leave volunteers, visitors alone with our students Although these people may not necessarily be dangerous, a teacher or a staff is always present when our students are in the school property We have informed the students that they should not arrange sudden play date after school and they are not allowed to go anywhere with an unauthorized pick-up person Please teach your child that they should not go anywhere with an unauthorized pick-up person
Well Informed Students Trained Teachers and Staff The monitoring devices are in place but more importantly we have responsible students, teachers and staff who are always: Looking Around Moving Around Escorting Students Interacting with Students
