“ PROFIT AT YOUR FINGERTIPS ”

What is Scrip? Definition: A list, paper money; a means Before printing, workers were not always paid in cash but in certificates or bonds. That was called “paying with scrip.” Modern Day Scrip: Instead of using cash, check, credit/debit card, we use gift certificates or gift cards to pay for purchases.

HOW DOES SCRIP WORK? Our school purchases various merchant gift certificates/cards at a discount. That discount will vary from 1.5% - 20%. Certificate denominations will vary also. Our main provider of gift cards is Great Lakes Scrip Center. You will purchase the cards from our school at full face value and redeem them for full face value. The profits or revenues from the sales are shared 50/50. – 50% goes back to our school – 50% goes back to your family in the way of a credit to be applied to your school registration fees, Pre-school tuition or Helias tuition.

SCRIP EXAMPLE You decide to purchase (4) $25 HyVee Gift cards. HyVee will donate 4% back to our school 4% of $100 is $4.00 Immaculate Conception School will receive $2 from your order and the other $2 will be applied to your family account.

How Can I Get Scrip? Scrip is available in the school office during normal school hours. (Mon-Fri 7:30 am - 3:30 pm) Scrip is sold in the St. Ann’s Room on the 1 st and 3 rd weekends of every month after all masses except 5:00 pm mass on Sunday. Scrip order form along with payment (check or cash) can be sent in with your child and will be filled and returned that same day. Online orders placed through ShopWithScrip before 2:00 pm will be sent home that day with your child. ScripNow and ReloadNow can be ordered at any time from your home computer or mobile device. Local merchants are not available to order as ScripNow or ReloadNow. Scrip is sold most Tuesdays during the summer months from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Scrip Program Financials Our fiscal year is June 1 st – May 31 st We only accept cash, personal checks or money orders. (Online Scrip ordering is done through Presto Pay). Enter Account Information (Bank name, account name, account type (checking or savings), bank routing number and account number Enter Account Holder Information GLSC (Great Lakes Scrip Center) will deposit two small amounts into your bank account to verify the information. In 1-2 days, verify the amounts with your bank and go back into your ShopWithScrip account and enter the two deposit amounts. You will create a PIN # and confirm the PIN # (You will use this PIN number every time you place an online order). They will give you a 4 digit approval code. Call or Janie Wyrick with the 4 digit code to approve the Presto

Security with Presto Pay is different than a credit card. Instead of filling out your credit card information online, with Presto Pay, you securely link your bank account to your ShopWithScrip account and create a PIN that is unique to you which keeps your account safe. Essentially every time you pay with Presto Pay, it is like you are paying by check. The Automated Clearing House (ACH) is the process through which a Presto Pay transaction occurs. ACH has been around since 1974 and all transactions are regulated by the Federal Reserve Bank and the Electronic Fund Transfer Act. Great Lakes Scrip Center goes one step further to ensure your information is secure. They transmit all your family data through secure data links. Everything regarding your account is encrypted, which means all the information is stored on servers in an unreadable format, so it is entirely protected. PRESTO PAY SECURITY FACTS

THUMBS UP TO PRESTO PAY! For a small fee of $.15 per order, you can place an online order and have your ScripNow and ReloadNow in just minutes. By paying with Presto Pay, it will also eliminate the need to drop by and pick up Scrip or send in Scrip paper orders. You can place orders right at your fingertips and Scrip will be sent home with your child.
