Google Maps App Price: Free  Subject Area: Geography – search landforms, continents, countries, cities and places.  Rationale for Curriculum Use: Part of the elementary curriculum includes social studies of which geography of the world and their community is a part of.  NYS P-12 NYS Standard and/or Ontario Curriculum Expectations  This app would fit in with the New York State grade 2/3 world geography curriculum where students are expected to know how to identify continents, land forms, and how to navigate around maps such as north, east south, west.  This app would fit with the Ontario grade 2 social studies curriculum where students are expected to study the climates and physical features of a region affecting how people in that region by exploring maps about location, climate, and physical characteristics of a region
