Presentation transcript:

Immigration Issues Managing immigration –Swelling populations force federal gov’t to create more laws controlling Security –Foreigners were responsible for two major acts on U.S. soil. –The strengthening of homeland security has led to new immigration laws. Illegal Immigration –Illegal will to work for less than native born Americans –Illegal pay few or no taxes and strain public services

Government Policy The policy today is to cut down of illegal immigration by: Additional personal, infrastructures, and technologies on the border Higher fines to both undocumented works and business which employ illegal immigrants Congress has trouble agreeing on any type bills about new immigration policy

Policies Impact on Society Immigration has a big effect on economy with undocumented works get away with not paying taxes Some immigrants do the lower work that others don’t want to which needs to be done for society to work. How ever undocumented works still broke the law and there are very different opinions on how to hand it.

Effect on Government Undocumented immigrants hurts the Federal government and State governments by costing each tax money and giving jobs to illegal workers that will work for less money than citizens.

Opinion of Immigration Policy We believe we need to tighten our borders because the undocumented workers put a strain on the economy.
