Presentation transcript:

 The piano first known as the pianoforte, evolved from the harpsichord around 1700 to 1720, by Italian inventor Bartolomeo Cristofor  It was created because Harpsichord manufacturers wanted to create an instrument that had a greater range and dynamic response than the Harpsichord.

 The instrument was already over a hundred years old by the time Beethoven was writing his last sonatas, and around that time it ousted the harpsichord as the standard keyboard instrument

 There are many different types of pianos, such as:  The Vertical piano;  The Spinet piano;  And my favorite, the Studio piano

 Symphony No. 5: I, by Ludwig Beethoven  1812 Overture, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky  Eine Kleine Nachtmusik: Allegro, by Mozart  Toccata And Fugue In D Minor, by Johann Bach

 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart  Ludwig Von Beethoven  Frederic Chopin

 The piano is known as "The King of Instruments“  The total string tension in a concert grand is close to Thirty Tons  There are over 10 million pianos in American homes, businesses, and institutions  there are currently over 50 Brand Names of pianos

 Today, millions of people can easily teach themselves or take lessons to learn how to play
