Revision: The past perfect tense I: Defination: Things that happened before“the past”,and continued until “the past” happened. II: Two conditions: 1)finished: momentory movement. eg. Tom flew home, but his father had already dead. 2)unfinished: the movement still exist in “the past”, and may going on. eg. By six o’clock they had worked twelve hours.

3 ） advice [U] an opinion given by one person to another. 意见，建议 eg. She gave me a lot of good advice. 她给我提了很多好建议。 注意： advice 为不可数名词，所以，一 个绝好的忠告应表达为： a piece of excellent advice

advise: vt. To tell someone what you think they should do. 劝告，忠告（某人） ; 向（某人） 提建议。 1 ） advise sb. to do sth. 建议某人做某事 eg. The doctor advised me to take more exercise. 医生建议我多做运动。

2 ） to advise someone that they should do something eg. I advise him that he should join the union. 我劝他加入工会。 3 ） to advise someone how, when,where…etc. eg. Can you advise me where to stay ? 你能建议我该住在哪儿吗？
