Step One Download the software from Microsoft –Microsoft Photo Story 3 for Windows: make show-n-tell cool againMicrosoft Photo Story 3 for Windows: make show-n-tell cool again

The DVD Creator add-on Sonic makes it It’s not free It plugs automatically into the Photo Story 3 software It’s not required if you already have DVD burning software or you will be playing the video only on a computer DVD Add-on

Let’s Begin Your Project

Start by importing pictures

Option to remove black borders…………… Up to you…. You can avoid the black areas with the pan and zoom in customize motion.

Let’s look at the edit features: Rotate pictures Red eye Correct color levels

This is what you see if you click on “Edit” When finished editing, click “close” You can see in the tabs that there are several editing options

Add text or effects to individual pictures

Set what part of the picture you want motion to start and to end, and how long you want it to show (how fast the motion path travels). You have to click here to be able to change or customize the motion path. You have to click here to change how long the picture is shown Preview your changes to make sure you did what you wanted to do……

Choose what kind of transition you want and how long you want it to take to change. Arrow down for full selection, click to choose This set of pictures will preview it for you You have to click here to be able to change how long the transition takes Click on preview to check on your changes, then save when you are satisfied. Use the forward arrow to advance to the next picture. Click on “close” when you have customized all of your pictures.

Set up your microphone If you are unhappy about your recording, you can delete it and do it over. Start Stop Playback what you just recorded

This option only appears if you have purchased the Sonic DVD for Photo Story 3 Plug-in.

Without the Sonic plug-in, if you want to create a DVD, choose settings

You will work with this dialog box. Without the Sonic plug-in, if you want to create a DVD, choose “settings” …and choose this You will have to import the file into DVD burning software to actually burn the DVD

The last step is to save your project in two forms: video file and photo story file 2. video file: choose “next” here 1. photo story file: choose “save project” here a.wp3 editable file a.wmv for playback on a computer

Each screen has a help menu button – don’t be afraid of it. The help features are very user friendly now.
