Pension drawn in the name of the deceased District- East Godavari Mandal- Kajuluru Village/ Gram Panchayat - Kajuluru pension was being withdrawn in the name of a person who had passed away long back. Late S S Laxmi (P. Rama Suruya Subhalaxmi w/o Subramaniyam, SSP No: ) who expired in September 2012 was the beneficiary of Abhya Hastham Pension since August But in her name the monthly pension, up to a total Rs was withdrawn till April 2013.

Support Extended by UIDAI UIDAI played a key role in conceptualization of Aadhaar Authentication based Pension disbursement project and extended full support in conceptualization & rollout. Specific contributions include; On-boarding the department to become AUA & support to enter into agreement with ASA- BSNL. Re-engineering Pension process flow to AePS Ensuring PoS device compatible to AePS Financial Support to Paying Agencies for device deployment Advice, review and testing of Client Authentication Application software developed by device partner Ensuring Permanent Enrolment Centres for enrolment and updation of bio-metrics.

Support Extended by UIDAI Support in Identification of suitable connectivity options, signal strength, Extended Antenna at low signal areas, in consultation with Telcos, Implementation Partners. Support in development of Training Manual and conducting of training to dealers of FP Shops & field staff. Extensive field visits by RO Project Team to ascertain and advise on various issues of Authentication failures/ errors/ connectivity issues/ application issues/ device operation/ training & capacity gaps etc. Field Visit observations were submitted to concerned stakeholders for suitable remedial action.

Key inputs given by R.O for Android Pensions Application 11 S/w developer team has been guided for compliance to Authentication API, proper display of error message (with Error code) for Authentication with regard to Biometric mismatch, Suspended/cancelled Aadhaar cases etc. Device does not have receipt print facility. So, creation of online reports were advised to check transactions & history at any point of time. Designing application for minimum usage of battery. Tweaking of session time-outs for improved User experience. Screen layout change and Selection of colours for effective operation

Innovation - Authentication using Android Tablets- A.P Pensions 16 A.P Pensions handled by SERP, Rural Development Dept, has switched over from PoS device based Authentication to Android based application. Tablet PCs issued to Panchayat Secretary for each village and Bill collector in Urban wards. Necessary training imparted to these officials in using Tablet, Aadhaar Authentication and making disbursement transaction on Tablet (AEPS)

Innovation - Authentication using Android Tablets- A.P Pensions Training UIDAI R.O has conducted training sessions on Android Tablets & Aadhaar Authentication covering Master Trainers and officials of all districts of A.P Sensitized all field officials on Authentication Parameters and using BFD, Dual finger features. Support by way of frequent field visits 17
