The current consumption of water and energy in the world and in the various sector of agricolture, and not only is very high, so it is very important to avoid waste, for that is why we always try to use the most efficient techniques to low water and energy consumption. This can make in throught the adaptation and modernization of production facilities. The main objectives are: Improving business efficiency by reducing production costs including energy and water conservation; Improve the efficiency of the agricultural enterprises with the itroduction of new technologies; to promove the achievement of new performance from an environmental perspective, with particular reference to water and energy saving through the use of renewable energy surces; sistem for farms in the production of renewable energy through solar farm themal, photovolatic and beyond. 3 Water& Energy-I.I.S. "G.Garibaldi"- S. Giulia 3B Water and Energy

In the dairy industries the water is used primarily for: the washing water of the containers in which the pastourization occurs, washing water on which they are kneading butter; water using in the cooling of the cells; water using for cleaning in the external parts and machinery; washing water which takes place the coagulation of milk. Water& Energy-I.I.S.“G.Garibaldi“- S.Giulia 3B 4 The use of water in dairy industries

The food industry has found a new way intoreduce the consumption of water and energy. Treat the wastewater of dairy industries means saving million of Euros and optimize production. To do this and reduce costs and consumption is developing a system that is able to clean up the waste water from the cheese wehy and reuse the resource to produce energy. Generate electricity from hydrogen derived from water bottle is the methodology that could be use in different industries including the production the biodisel, olive processing. This is a European project called “REWAGEN”( Electrochemical water treatment system in the dairy industries with hydrogen recovery and electricity production). 5 Water & Energy in the Dairy industries Water& Energy-I.I.S. Constucted wetlands (fitodepurazione) is a system of natural purification of domestic wastewater, agricultural and industrial. It 'a great way of saving especially for small and medium-sized dairies where the adoption of a technological system is not possible for the cost, however, is a simple and efficient The multi-stage system, specifically designed for the purification of dairy wastewater and includes a primary treatment (or prelimary) of degrassatura, one secondary balancing hydraulic and biological filtration and a finishing tertiary effluent. 6 Methods for saving water Water& Energy-I.I.S. "G.Garibaldi"- S. Giulia 3B

Methods for saving and reusing energy: photovoltaic system: that use solar energy for produce electricity: thermal system: for the recovery and reuse of thermal energy possessed by the fumes and exhaust of machinery; costruction of general cogeneration: process where it forms mechanical energy converted into electricity and heat for production processes. 7 Methods for saving energy Water& Energy-I.I.S.
