Surface integral formalism and generalized R-matrix approach Allows to treat resonances. Solves long-discussed problem about information extracted from the transfer: ANCs for bound states and resonance partial widths for resonances. Potential for advancing in the CDCC formalism.

Problems and future work. 1.-depends on the choice of the optical potentials and DWBA is the 1-st order perturbation theory - minimization of the second order term It can decrease significantly Reaction amplitude will be entirely peripheral – parameterized only in terms of the ANC and partial widths

CDCC Very useful for stripping to resonance – code very difficult and not ready For now, even DWBA for stripping to resonance would be important. The problem – bins! + Pluto
