Transitioning from Individual Contributor to Leader/Manager Part of the Professional Interactions & Communications Seminar Series Monday, March 24 ~ 12:00 - 1:30pm Carrie Hall Conference Room Please register online The transition from individual contributor to leader or manager can be challenging because it requires a new set of perspectives, skills, and responsibilities. Individual contributors are often promoted because of their knowledge and expertise, but their success as managers depends directly on their ability to get things done through others. This session will provide insight on the main challenges in moving from technical contributor to manager, help identify the traits of successful leaders, and guide participants in how to acquire and strengthen leadership skills. The format is highly interactive with a focus on practical techniques and applications in current roles.
