St Albans Health Walks Walks take place in various locations across the city and throughout the district*, all year round, on a weekly or fortnightly basis including weekends and also Evenings during the summer. *For walks in and around Harpenden see our Harpenden & Villages Health Walks This summer check out five of our Olympic Health Walks and get a prize. Why walk? a great way of meeting new people - most walks finish in the pub for a drink and a natter a chance to get outside in your local green spaces and countryside – helping to combat stress, depression and anxiety brisk walking helps reduce the risk of diabetes, Alzheimer's, bowel cancer and can help prevent osteoporosis, high blood pressure, stroke and coronary heart disease
