Gridview : New Developments (During 8 th Jan to 26th March) This presentation is brief summary of the work done by Me (Sonvane) at CERN and does not report the work of entire project/team Major areas of my work –Enhancements to Service Reliability and Availablity Graphs –Automation of Report Generation

Enhancements to Service Reliability and Availablity Graphs Enhanced all the service Availability and Reliability Daily, Weekly and Monthly Graphs –To generate plots for longer duration –To print Averages –Made provision to open Graph’s frame in New Window in order to enable pdf generation, printing etc.

Automation of Report Generation Currently Various Service Availability and Reliability Reports being circulated –Generated Manually by cumbersome method like exporting data, generating graphs in excel, converting to pdf etc –Need for different types of reports for different groups like WLCG / EGEE Management and operations groups –Repeatative task (Reports are needed for various periodicities) –Hence identified this area for Automation

Report Generation Tool Used open source report generation tools –Jasper Reports Java based report generation engine Needs report specification in xml file –iReport Visual/Graphical tool for generation of xml file –Open Reports Server for exporting the reports on Web Support various formats like pdf, rtf, xls, csv etc.

Reports Automated WLCG Reliability Report for Tier-1 sites VO-wise Reliability report for Tier-1 sites WLCG Tier-2 Availability and Reliability Report –Federation wise summary and details of each site EGEE Tier-2 Availability and Reliability Report –Region wise summary and details of each site
