The first 10 amendments of the constitution  Describes the powers and rights of the citizens  Have strict limits on how the government can use it’s power over the people

Protects The 5 basic Freedoms  Freedom of religion  Freedom of speech  Freedom of the press  Freedom of assembly  Freedom to petition the government

 Guarantees the states the right to keep a military

 No Soldier will be housed by Americans

 The Right For colonists to protect their privacy  No Longer There Will Be Search Warrants

 Protects the rights of people accused of a crime  No one can be put on trial without first being indicted

 A legal counsel must be provided to a defendant

 If you sue someone for more than $20 a jury is provided for you

 Ensures that neither bail nor punishment for a crime will be unreasonably severe

 Provides that the peoples right are not limited to those mentioned in the constitution

 Protects the states and the people from an all-powerful government
