What does “marine” mean? Starter What does “marine” mean? Marine is a word that describes oceans and seas, where water is salty.

The marine life of the UAE The UAE coast stretches for more than 650 km (404 mi) along the southern shore of the Persian / Arabian Gulf.

The marine life of the UAE The marine life of the UAE is rich in fish, plants, and corals. Over 500 different species of fish alone inhabit the Gulf waters. Here are some of the animals:
