THE ICEMAN

The oldest mummy that has been found He is from the Neolithic Age Found by Erika and Simon Helmut on September 19, 1991

He was found in the Austrian Alps There was a huge fight over who was going to keep his body, but he was eventually taken to an Innsbruck lab for prelim testing

His body (and more importantly, the stuff found with him) have provided scientists and historians with information they never had before

His possessions include an axe, clothes, bow and arrows, knife, food His body shows us his last meal, how he lived and also how he died

He has fascinated people around the world. Who was this man, how did he get there, how did he die, why was he never found

The Iceman now lives in a specially built room in a scientific lab in Bolzano in Italy
