Folding

Fold a paper crane

Prepare a square paper.

Fold the paper in half along the dotted line.

Make a crease down the middle, then diagonally fold down the right side of the paper toward the front. Diagonally fold the left side toward the back.

Unfold the paper, you can get the figure.

Open the bottom and fold left and right points together Spreading the front and back crease.

Lift the upper right flap, and fold in the direction of the arrow. Lift the upper left flap and fold in the direction of the arrow.

Press on points b and c to reverse the folds along lines a-b and a-c. The trick is to get the paper to lie flat in the long diamond shape shown here.

Fold left and right edges along dotted line into center for both front and back sides.

Open both sides along the vertical center axis and crease, producing the split top as shown in the next figure.

Fold bottom point to the back along the dotted line to make a tail.

Crease take the end of one of the points, and bend it down to make the head of the crane. Using your thumbnail, reverse the in the head, and pinch it to form the beak.

Open the body by blowing into the hole underneath the crane, and then gently pulling out the wings.

You have got a paper crane.
