[Company] progress presentation to board of directors Remember that the Presentation Guidelines and Requirements apply to this presentation. See link in BOD Presentation section of course BPG web page. [Company] progress presentation to board of directors Sam Spade, CEO Jane Marple, CFO Clark Kent, VP Production, Margo Lane, VP Marketing & Sales Example Structure for BOD Presenation

Extracts from presentation guidelines Supporting evidence. Include evidence that is necessary to support conclusions or claims you make. If the evidence is too much to include on the slide with the conclusion, use a drill-down approach to assemble your evidence. For example, include a brief summary of the evidence on the slide where it is called for and have a back-up slide you can go to provide more detailed evidence. You could also distribute a few additional pages of documentation to provide support. Take-aways. Consider including a brief take-away at the bottom of slides. If you slide has presented important meaning, let the take-away answer the question: so what? In other words, given the meaning imparted on the slide, what are the implications for management action? What follow-up does the message of the slide call for? Example Structure for BOD Presenation

Extracts from presentation guidelines-2 Substance value. Slides must clearly and completely illustrate the substance of the valued information being communicated. Avoid having slides merely list topics to be discussed and expecting the audience to recall what was spoken. Slides must convey the valuable substance of your presentation by presenting the appropriate information and necessary supporting evidence. Power titles. Use power titles which are titles that capture the essence of the substance of your slides. Just as you might use headings and subheadings in a report, let your titles show the logical flow and communicate the essence of your presentation. Slide formatting Include slide numbers. Include a footer that follows the electronic submission guidelines. When displaying data, include only relevant, significant figures. Avoid unnecessary details or data that clutters the display.
