. Sequim Community Orchestra began string classes for fourth grade students in Sequim schools in September 2013
Beginning Strings at Greywolf
SCO Music Director Phil Morgan-Ellis teaching the first string class in Sequim Schools.
37 children signed up to particpate in the beginning strings class. 23 came to the first class meeting presently 15 students attend regularly. Several did not receive communications; others had conflicting schedules.

The Mission of the Sequim Community Orchestra is threefold: 1. Education in orchestral music and performance for musicians of all ages 2. Entertaining and informing our community through orchestral performances 3. Supporting strings education for students in Sequim area schools

For we plan to continue this class as Strings Class II (high beginning) and start a new beginning Strings Class I. With the addition of a class and improved communication we hope that most students who wish to are able to particpate.
