Summary Report Project Name: Platform Implementation Project (PIP) Brief Project Description: –The Platform Implementation Project will coordinate Open Health Tools projects to provide HIE services in the cloud. The goal of the project is to minimize the technical impact on organizations that require HIE services and allow them to participate in health information organizations. Each instantiation will, wherever possible, strive to serve as a living-lab for academic institutions and to establish support structures indigenous to a region. Major milestones to date –Organizing early adopters (final agreements to be negotiated) –Identified OHT projects to provide core technical and implementation services –Present the project for Approval in Principle to the OHT Board Projected milestones –Establish an architecture document –Conduct feasibility study with early adopters and initial partners –Begin reference implementation
