Georgia Georgia is the 9 th largest state in our nation by population. Atlanta is the largest city in Georgia. 15 Fortune 500 companies and 26 Fortune 1000 companies with headquarters in Georgia (Home Depot, UPS, Coca Cola, Delta Air Lines, AFLAC). At current growth rates, Georgia’s population will grow 34% between 2000 and 2015 to 10,813, th Largest distribution hub in the US.

Rail Freight CSX ◦ One of the largest rail companies in the US. ◦ Largest intermodal company. ◦ Easily move goods across the nation. ◦ Land bridge.

Roads in Georgia Well maintained roads = less traffic and down time. (Georgia is in the top ten in the nation in terms of maintenance of their roads.) Three interstate highways connect through Atlanta (one of five cities in the United States that have that capability). Freight can move to multiple destinations with a minimal amount of down time.
