Statewide Data System – WV mandates and uses a statewide data system – Universal intake for all agencies – All CA programs are reported, not just CSBG – Consistent reporting – Ability to unduplicate results and clients statewide – Assists in monitoring – No cost to CAAs – Implementing reporting changes such as new NPIs for IS Report – Teaching the importance of data quality Strengths Challenges
Statewide Community Assessment – State office and Association developed a core survey for agencies to use – More guidance needs to be developed – Survey needs updated – Helping agencies that don’t see the importance of the assessments and helping them improve their methods Strengths Challenges
Organizational Standards – 13/16 CAAs completed the Pathways to Excellence evaluation of the Standards of Excellence. – Most organizational standards have been expectations of the state office for several years. – To us, the challenge will be determining the consequences for not meeting a standard rather than how to evaluate.
