The Great Team2 Question #1 Will the height between the two mattresses be sufficient when the bed is transformed into the bunk position? Response: We determined the average mattress width, which is equivalent to the height between the two bunks, to be consistent with the average spacing between current standard bunk beds.
The Great Team3 Question #2 How do you maintain stability of the bed in the lowered position. Response: We will have foldable legs on the upper bunk frame which can extend down to support the bed after being lowered beside the bottom bunk.
The Great Team4 Question #3 Do you have any locking mechanisms to improve stability and safety? Response: We are considering a pin lock, flip up lock, or grip lock.
The Great Team5 Question #4 Do you have any methods to enhance child safety? Response: We are considering the use of a combination lock as an additional feature that disables/enables the safety lock.
The Great Team6 Question #5 Can you add a hydraulic door damper to reduce the force of the top mattress in the lowering step? Response: Our investigation of dampers suggested that this would require a very high cost while only providing a small benefit to our product.
