GOD’S PLAN FOR UNVEILING HIS WILL TO HIS FOLLOWERS

I.THE SPIRIT TEACHES US GOD’S PERSPECTIVE ON LIFE. JOHN 14:26 “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

-Perception is every thing -The job of the Holy Spirit is to teach us God’s perception about life.

-Here are some way the Holy Spirit communicates God’s perceptions: 1) The Holy Spirit gives believers in Christ supernatural ability to understand what God has freely given to us. 2) The Holy Spirit enlightens the eyes of the obedient to help them perceive what God has planned to accomplish through growing Christians.

3) The Holy Spirit clarifies confusing situations for those who are trusting God for clarification. 4) The Holy Spirit guides trusting Christians to concentrate on God’s highest priority ministries. 5) The Holy Spirit helps Spirit filled believers clearly articulate wisdom to others.

6) The Holy Spirit enables you to distinguish between true believers and counterfeit believers during your interactions with him. 7) The Holy Spirit increases a believer’s ability to make correct judgments. 8) The Holy Spirit frees you from being subject to other people’s judgment

9) The Holy Spirit navigates you through the maize of all life’s complex decisions, trials and situations. 10) The Holy Spirit helps us discern between all forms of good and evil. 11) The Holy Spirit gives instructions to those who are helping to expand the kingdom.

II. THE SPIRIT TEACHES US GOD’S PERSPECTIVE ON OUR LIVES. 1 COR. 2:9-10 “However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him, but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.”

- God reveals His will to His people BEFORE He carries it out so as many as possible can be a partner with Him in accomplishing it!

-The Holy Spirit will give us spiritual eyes to see the invisible, spiritual ears to hear the inaudible and spiritual hearts to understand the mysteries of God.

III. THE SPIRIT WILL GUIDE US TO DO GOD’S WILL. JOHN 16:13 “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

-It accomplishes nothing to just know God’s will; it is in the doing of His will that we make a difference in this world. -Here are the steps of doing the will of God: Hear it. Believe it. Act on it. Keep acting on it!

PERSPECTIVE. The others thought, “He’s so big we can never kill him.” David looked at the giant and said, “He’s so big I can’t miss him!”

-We can only get God’s perspective from spending time with God’s Spirit. -Then when He speaks it we must hear it and believe it and act upon it and keep acting upon it!
