Introduction to PV emulator Need of PV emulator Environmental Temperature and Irradiance are unpredictable To have an idea about output characteristic of the panels before connecting to the load Actual PV panel consist large volume Panels are expensive Research purposes
PV emulator overview PV emulator PV Emulator is a device which automatically calculates and output solar array voltages, currents and powers profiles based on user defined parameters. Controller - Panel data - Temperature - Irradiance -Load - IV & PV characteristics - Power output - Current / Voltage

PROPOSED PV EMULATOR - Panel data - Temperature - Irradiance Micro controller P max & V max PmPm
Controller Two main parts 1.Representing the Electrical model of a PV panel Parameter needs to find I ph,STC -Photo current at STC Rp - Parallel Resistance I o -Diode Saturation Current Rs - Series Resistance A -Diode Ideality Factor [2]

Vol/Div=1 V Time/Div=50 s Variation of Output with time
The characteristics of a PV panel and maximum power point tracker were implemented on a microcontroller The controller was tested with a actual setup. Time varying inputs (Temperature & Irradiance) were fed into the system The time between two adjacent outputs can be control. Reasonable agreement between microcontroller unit and real measurement proposed controller unit can be fed into the inverter of the PV emulator. DISCUSSION & CONCLUSIONS
