Internet A worldwide collection of computer networks that allows people to communicate and exchange information; the largest network in the worlds

Blu-ray disc A disc used for storing high-definition video that stores 25GB of data per layer.

Webpage A document created with a special programming language that displays in a web browser

Presentation Software Software that allows you to display or project graphics and other information before a group, print then for quick reference, or transmit them to remote computers

Bluetooth A wireless technology standard that allows electronic devices to use short range radio waves to communicate with one another or connect to the internet; the radio waves can be transmitted around corners and through walls

Read-only Memory A chip on the motherboard that is prerecorded with and permanently stores the set of instructions that the computer uses when you turn it on. Also called nonvolatile memory or permanent memory

Kilobytes per second (kbps) The measurement used for data transfer rate for CD and DVD.

Database Management Software Software you use to collect and manage data

Random Access Memory Chips on cards plugged into the motherboard that temporarily hold programs and data while the computer is turned on. Also called volatile memory or temporary memory
