GEOSS connects Observations to Decisions

OGC ® GEOSS and the OGC The Global Earth Observing Systems of Systems (GEOSS) is using a GEOSS Web Portal and a GEOSS Clearinghouse search facility to access services through GEOSS Interoperability Arrangements in support of the GEOSS Societal Benefit Areas. The GEOSS Architecture Implementation Pilot (AIP) is achieving design milestones for scenarios and use cases. AIP is a Task in the GEO Work Plan (GEO Task AR ). OGC ® Summary EO market growth depends on increased ease of discovery, access and use of EO data. The Internet/Web infrastructure and OGC Web Services enable the transition from delivery of files to delivery of information. With the increasing number of sensors and applications, interoperability is a key requirement. The OGC’s open standards, developed in an inclusive international consensus process, provide the necessary interoperability.
