Emotionally Healthy Spirituality and the Multi-Ethnic Church Pete Scazzero

I. The Challenge Before Us 1. Church almost indistinguishable from the world 2. Bridging Racial, Cultural, Economic Barriers is not High on the Church Agenda in the 21 st Century 3. People not experiencing deep transformation. 4. Disconnect: Love for God not translating into love for people. 5. Most people “living off other people’s spirituality.” 6. Most people not deeply in Scripture and prayer. 7. Church not transforming society/culture. 8. Church leadership remains violent leader’s soul and family 8. Level of Distraction, "scatteredness", overload-- rapidly increasing – contributing to the erosion of community.
