Why Regional? “Regionalism” is an approach being used for economic development purposes via the Chambers of Commerce. Reduces invisible county borders to enhance service delivery, health care utilization, and sustainability policies such as transportation, land use, etc… Huge Economies of Scale- Saved the region $550,000 annually. Allows the community to leverage regional resources during tough economic times Assists in identifying planning and service delivery overlap, duplication and wasteful spending Promotes collaboration and meaningful partnerships

Community Benefits Economies of Scale Leveraging regional resources expanded regional assets and saved the region $550,000 per year Community Assessment Tool A living community report card, constantly updated to forecast the needs of NE Florida’s growing and diverse population Strategic Planning Instrument Common platform of information to promote prioritized system changes for effective allocation of resources in response to community needs Best Practice Repository Clearing-house for dissemination of best practices which support the establishment of benchmarks and assist in the development of improvement strategies Collaborative Platform Portal to contextual information, resources, services, news, and events that forge resilient public and private partnerships Educational Library Central source of unbiased information to increase public education and awareness on issues that affect Northeast Florida residents Advocacy Platform Conduit of information that serves as a guide for responsible policy recommendations for decision-makers

Governance In the spirit of a collaborative effort: Legal Entity The Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida will serve as the fiscal sponsor and legal entity in contract with Healthy Communities Inc. NE FL Counts Steering Committee Partners who contribute $10,000 or more will serve as a member of the NE FL Counts Steering Committee. The Steering Committee will be a “working” group charged with designing the dashboard and selecting indicators, as well as reviewing applications and selecting recipients for the NE FL Counts Student Scholarships. Elected Steering Committee Members Partners who do not meet the $10,000 Regional Investor level can be elected to serve as an honorary member of the NE FL Counts Steering Committee NE FL Counts Advisory Committee All partners have the opportunity to serve as members of the NE FL Counts Advisory Committee. Under the direction of the NE FL Counts Editor & Community Relations Coordinator, the Advisory Committee will be charged with developing and managing dashboard content, developing content submission policies, and developing reports for the Steering Committee.

Evaluation Milestones 1. Using web analytics to track site usage over time (also can track which content areas are viewed most frequently) 2. Pop-up user survey - to find out more information on how and why users are using the site 3. Stakeholder survey - to see if key people in the community are aware of the tool and find it valuable 4.
