Founding of Pushpin Studios  In 1954, Milton Glaser, along with Reyonld Ruffins, Seymour Chwast, and Edward Sorel, founded Pushpin Studios.

Milton Glaser  To many, Milton Glaser is the embodiment of American graphic design during the latter half of this century. His presence and impact on the profession internationally is formidable.

Seymour Chwast  Chwast is famous for his commercial artwork, which includes posters, food packaging, magazine covers, and publicity art.

Reynold Ruffins  Reynold Ruffins is an African American painter, illustrator and graphic designer. With milton Glaser, Edward Sorel, and Seymour Chwast, Ruffins founded Pushpin Studios in 1954.

Edward Sorel  Edward Sorel is an illustrator, caricaturist, cartoonist, and graphic designer whose work is known for its storytelling, its left-liberal social commentary, its criticism of reactionary right-wing politics, and organized religion

Pushpin Studios Past Accomplishments For twenty years Glaser, together with Seymour Chwast, directed the organization, which exerted a powerful influence on the direction of world graphic design, culminating in a memorable exhibition at the Louvres Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.

How Does Pushpin Studios Relate to You?  If I had to answer that I would say that Pushpin and its founders really focused on the same message that I do. Which was to revolutionize the way people think about graphic design. I much like Pushpin Studios saw great possibility in the field of graphic design and wanted to pursue it.
