Input Devices An input device is a piece of hardware that you put data into the computer, such as a mouse or keyboard, light pen, scanner, mick and touch screen etc. Keyboard A computer keyboard is an important device that allows a person to enter symbols like letters and numbers into a computer. Mouse In computing, a mouse is a pointing device that functions by detecting two-dimensional motion relative to its supporting surface.

Joystick A joystick is an input device consisting of a stick that pivots on a base and reports its angle or direction to the device it is controlling. A joystick, also known as the control column. Scanner In computing, an image scanner—often abbreviated to just scanner—is a device that optically scans images, printed text, handwriting, or an object, and converts it to a digital image.
