ATHLETIC PERSONNEL BYLAW 11

*PROPOSAL : STUDENT ASSISTANT COACH PERMITS A FULL-TIME GRADUATE OR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT WITHIN THEIR 5 YEAR CLOCK TO SERVE AS A STUDENT COACH. PERMITS A FULL-TIME GRADUATE OR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT WITHIN THEIR 5 YEAR CLOCK TO SERVE AS A STUDENT COACH. CURRENT RULE ONLY ALLOWS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS TO SERVE AS STUDENT COACH CURRENT RULE ONLY ALLOWS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS TO SERVE AS STUDENT COACH THE LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF STUDENT COACHES IS THE SAME AS THE LIMIT IN EACH SPORT FOR COUNTABLE COACHES THE LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF STUDENT COACHES IS THE SAME AS THE LIMIT IN EACH SPORT FOR COUNTABLE COACHES EFFECTIVE: IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE: IMMEDIATE

PROPOSAL : ATHLETICALLY RELATED INCOME ELIMINATES THE REQUIREMENT THAT ALL ATHLETIC STAFF MUST SUBMIT A WRITTEN DETAILED ACCOUNT ANNUALLY TO THE CHANCELLOR FOR ALL ATHLETICALLY RELATED INCOME AND BENEFITS FROM SOURCES OUTSIDE THE INSTITUTION. *PROPOSAL : INSTITUTIONAL PRE- ENROLLMENT FEES ALLOWS INSTITUTIONS TO PAY PRE-ENROLLMENT FEES FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES ALLOWS INSTITUTIONS TO PAY PRE-ENROLLMENT FEES FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES INSTITUTIONAL POLICY: INSTITUTIONAL POLICY: I.NCAA BYLAWS ALLOW INSTITUTIONS TO WAIVE, PAY IN ADVANCE OR GUARANTEE PAYMENT OF INSTITUTIONAL PRE-ENROLLMENT FEES FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES THAT HAVE SIGNED AN NLI, OFFER OF FINANCIAL AID OR OFFER OF ADMISSION, OR HAVE PAID A FINANCIAL DEPOSIT. PER UWM ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT POLICY THESE FEES SHALL ONLY BE PROVIDED TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES THAT HAVE SIGNED NLI’S OR OFFERS OF ATHLETICS AID. FURTHER, FOR PRE-ENROLLMENT FEES RELATED TO ITEMS COVERED BY ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP (I.E. HOUSING DEPOSIT) ONLY PROSPECTIVE STUDENT- ATHLETES WHOSE ATHLETIC AID COVERS THAT ITEM (I.E. ROOM AND BOARD) WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE THAT FEE PAID OR WAIVED BY THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT. THE FUNDS FOR ANY FEES BEING PAID FOR A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE WILL COME FROM THE SPECIFIC SPORTS BUDGET.
