230 credits Students earn 5 credits per class, per semester Capstone coursework requirements CAHSEE- Pass the California High School Exit Exam in math and English with a minimum score of a 350 in each section.

~ 1 st Semester: December 19, 2014 ~2 nd Semester: June 11, 2015 There are 3 report cards mailed home each semester. The first two are progress reports, the third is semester grades for transcript credit.

~ 35 credits each semester can be earned ~ 70 credits a school year can be earned ~ 280 can be earned in four years of high school, 230 required.  Students can earn 5 credits for each class passed with a “D” grade or higher.  However, colleges do not accept “D” grades and many of our courses must be a “C” or better to progress to the next level.  F’s are permanent marks on transcripts and can’t be removed even if course is repeated.

1.Academic grade point average in all completed “A-G” courses, including additional points for completed University certified honors and advanced placement courses 2.Scores on SAT Reasoning test and/or ACT plus writing and optional SAT Subject tests

3.Number, content of and performance in academic courses beyond the minimum “A-G” requirements. 4.Number of honors and advanced placement courses taken 5.Identification by UC as being ranked in the top 9 percent of the senior class at the end of the junior year. 6. Quality of your academic performance relative to the educational opportunities available. 7.Special talents, achievements and awards in a particular field, such as visual and performing arts, communication or athletic endeavors; experiences that demonstrate leadership skills, such as community service or participation in student government or other activity that shows promise for contributing to the intellectual vitality of school or community.

 For private and out of state colleges, research each school individually as admission criteria and deadlines vary from school to school and state to state.  Most use the Common Application form that can be found online at Commonapp.org

 Commonly thought of as a “2 year” college  Requires a high school diploma, online application and the math and English placement test to enroll  Apply in spring of senior year  $46.00 per unit
