Our Journey at the City Of London Academy from September 2013 till Now….

Sept to Oct 2013 Oct 2013 Our Aims: Transition and the bridges of Transition  Aim is to support wellbeing and prepare students for learning  Transferring seamless from KS2 to KS3  Promoting and supporting social integration and emotional well being  To foster and nurture a sense of belonging

November 2013 onwards 3 onwards Our Aims: To empower our students with the skills and knowledge to achieve success  To secure students’ learning  To facilitate deep learning  To broaden our students knowledge  To develop the skills and a positive attitude for learning

We will continue to maintain high expectations and set high standards  Uniform  Attendance  Behaviour  Teaching and Learning

Let’s Celebrate our Success to date Sept – November 2013:  Year 7 Attendance is the highest of all year groups in the Academy - 97%  Vivo’s achieved by the Year 7 group is the highest in the Academy  Successful Summer School and high uptake on Summer School Visits and Trips  The students had the opportunity to meet the Mayor of London

Sports and Contributing to the Community  Year 7's are currently competing in a Borough indoor athletics competition  Awarded for being FABULOUS IN SPORTS  Basketball  After School Clubs Rewards Achieved  Rewards in Assemblies  Launched Perfect Club  Positive letters home to reward attitudes to learning  Post cards to celebrate 100% attendance
