12 How to Join PMI To become a member of the PMI Southern Maryland Chapter, you must first apply for membership to the Project Management Institute at PMISOMD.org The cost of membership is $119. To join the SoMD Chapter, select the Southern Maryland Chapter when prompted to join a PMI Chapter. There is an additional fee of $20 to join the SoMD chapter. Once you submit your membership with a Chapter preference, the Chapter will receive an updated roster of new members with your name.
