Child Development and Parenting  Investigating the responsibilities and rewards of parenting.  Child development offers an in-depth study of children from prenatal to five years of age.  This course is beneficial to students who are interested in learning more about parenting and especially for students entering early childhood careers.

Life Management  This course presents basic, practical information to help students successfully manage the many aspects of their lives.  Students will learn how to investigate career options, practice successful interview techniques..

Life Management  Consumer skills will help students make wise money decisions when using credit, choosing housing, buying and financing a car, and handling personal checking and savings accounts.  The goal of this course is to prepare students to become responsible adults by providing practical information as they prepare for independent living in today’s society.

Grading  50% Assessments and Projects  40% Classwork  10% Class Participation  Homework  Classwork that was not completed in class  Survey and interviews

Grading  Late Work and Extra Credit Policy  No extra credit may be given  Earned percentage grade will be reduced by 10% for each late day  After 3 days, late work will not be accepted  Homework  Classwork that was not completed in class  Survey and interviews
