Chapter 5: Symbolic Act? p. 72: How are looks connected to identity? What judgments do we form about people based on how they look? With your group: Explore images online and find one that stands out to you as one for which snap judgments might be made about someone based on his/her appearance. Make a slide on the Google Slides presentation that I have made that explains what the snap judgments might be and why. Be sure to include the picture. The link is on my Schoolwires site. I will project the slides in about 15 minutes. The pictures must be SCHOOL APPROPRIATE.

Chapter 6: Fire = Rebirth Ponyboy = Phoenix? Dumbledore can explain it. On-demand writing: 1.Write a paragraph of 5-7 sentences to explain how the fire can represent rebirth for Ponyboy and infer what form that “rebirth” might take.
