Welcome Welcome to PMILIC and Thank you for attending! The purpose of the Volunteer Orientation is to provide a general overview of the workings of our chapter. You can work with the Board Member that you report to for help getting you up to speed on the functional area for which you are volunteering. We welcome your input and suggestions and look forward to working with you!

About PMILIC History Founded in 1999 by four New York City Chapter Members, our Chapter was the first in New York State to become incorporated (June 2000), and has grown in membership to approximately 800 members, representing roughly 425 different employers. About PMILIC Board Meetings 4 th Wednesday of every month from 6:00PM to 9:00PM Audience: VP and above Every other month, Program Managers and above are invited Functional Group Meetings Set by the VP, Director, Program Manager or Committee Head as needed Audience: as needed Chapter Meetings Typically 2 nd Wednesday of each month at various locations from September to June 5:30PM to 8PM

PMILIC Policies Financials The Chapter is run as a non- profit business All Financials are available to the membership Each functional area of PMILIC has a budget The Vice President is responsible for the budget and related expenses Expenses All expenses must be accordance with the Travel and Expense policy Expense reimbursement forms must be submitted in a timely manner to the appropriate approver

PMILIC Policies Use PMILIC mailbox for PMILIC business Keep your tone professional Be courteous – Don’t copy all unless necessary – Ensure the distribution list is appropriate Be responsive! – Members are counting on your answers – Volunteers are depending on you – Check and respond to s frequently (at least every few days) – If unavailable give notice, whenever possible
