Orange County Emergency Operations Center During declared disasters this is the coordination facility for information verification and resource management during response and recovery operations. Trained personnel and certified disaster volunteers report here to receive assignments and to share their response and recovery activities at a strategic level. 9

Orange County Emergency Operations Center Facility features: 4,000 sq.ft. working space 120 maximum occupancy 50 computer workstations 4 Large screens, 5 TV monitors, 1 Smart board Video recorders & Teleconference capability Satellite downlink capability Media room, conference rooms 10

Orange County Emergency Operations Center Activation Levels: Level 3 - monitoring phase of day-to-day activities Level 2 - partial activation with minimal needed personnel Level 1 - highest activation with all personnel 11

Citizen Corps Council We all have a role in hometown security The Citizen Corps Council is designed to bring community and government leaders together in preparedness, planning, mitigation, response, and recovery. 12

EVALUATION Creates Strategic Plan of goals and objectives consistent with local and national initiatives. EVENT PLANNING Arranges facilities and resources for annual events. RECRUITMENT Presents information to the public regarding their potential involvement in disaster preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery. 15
