prove me (Mal 3:10-11) Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
(Mat 6:19-21) Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Faith promise in a nutshell 1. Pray for what the Lord would have you do and know what He commands He also enables. 2. Commit yourself to make a faith promise, realizing that your faith will grow as you stay committed to that promise. 3. Look for the different ways God will use you to supply your faith promise. 4. Be faithful to give as God enables you.
(2Co 8:1-5) Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
I. The purpose of the faith promise

II. The pattern of the faith promise
to prove the sincerity of your love though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (2Co 8:8-9) I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
III. The preparation of the faith promise
perform the doing of it. For if there be first a willing mindaccording to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not (2Co 8:11-14) Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:
IV. The procedure of the faith promise
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giverAnd God is able to make all grace abound toward you (2Co 9:6-8) But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
V. The payment of the faith promise
Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness. For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you (2Co 9:11-14) Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
