Introduction Introduction Barnabas Research and Training Institute is a global South think tank Support production of high-quality evidence based policy and research that can be employed by developing countries in formulating national, regional, and international policies to address development challenges. The Institute is an interdisciplinary collaborative training, teaching and research critically engaging policy and practice in developing countries in advancing the understanding of development challenges and offer viable solutions to problems of global South poverty and development. Barnabas Research and Training Institute challenges traditional thinking about development - what it is, who drives it, and where it happens

Implementation Approach Research that aims to shape policy and practice in the global South Teaching that enables and empowers students to engage actively with the contemporary challenges of development Influences policy makers, NGOs and activists across the global South to deliver change on the ground Shapes public understanding of what development is and how it can be achieve Analysis development policy and practice and its impact in improving people’s livelihood in developing countries Build capacity of policymakers and development practitioners to design policy frameworks that works in development Design, manage and evaluates the impact of development interventions in collaborations with development partners. Provide best possible facilities for Masters, PhD and post-doc studies and research; Undertake consultant work in any development field for international and local partners Spearhead Private- Partnership development frameworks Teaching in development studies and development journalism studies.
