Nuclear Industry Assessment Committee  Organized as a result of a nuclear industry initiative to share auditing services among its members  A membership organization comprised of companies who supply safety related Equipment and/or Services to the Nuclear Industry  Membership is one Representative and one Alternate  Mission: Members perform auditing services at the highest industry performance standards while eliminating the redundancy and costs associated with duplicate supplier audits.

NIAC Formation – Founded in 1994 FOUNDING MEMBERS ABB Combustion Engineering (WEC) * BWNT (Areva-NP) * Bechtel Power* Crane Nuclear * Crosby Valve * General Electric * IST Conax (Mirion Technologies) Joseph Oat Company* Nutherm Target Rock, Curtiss-Wright Flow Control * Westinghouse Electric Company * * ASME Certificate Holders  NIAC organized with 11 founding members  Goal was to save money by sharing common supplier audits using subcontracted auditing services logic  Challenge was to develop a charter that addresses legal concerns including anti- trust issues  Concerns were benefits vs. costs and industry acceptance

NIAC Process  Based on a standardized approach  Use membership approved standard checklists appropriate to the scope  Checklists delineates those criteria of 10CFR50 Appendix B, ANSI N45.2, ASME (NCA & NQA-1), 10CFR 71 SP H & 10CFR72 SP G  Update Charter / Procedures / checklists to address current regulation's, requirements and adopted guidance

Benefits of NIAC Membership  Supplier quality assurance programs are evaluated using a consistent basis.  Standard methodology is utilized for the performance of supplier assessments.  Member companies save on audit costs by the sharing of assessment results.  Suppliers save on audit costs by a reduction in the number of assessments conducted.  Interface and cooperation between industry peers is increased. Collectively NIAC members have improved the quality of our audit processes to the benefit of our customers as well as our industry
