IOPtiMate TM System Set-Up 1. Set the BMU adaptor on the Microscope 2. Load the BMU onto the adaptor 3. Place the IOPtiMate TM Control Unit on the laser cradle 4. Connect the cables 5. Connect the laser articulated arm to the IOPtiMate TM BMU 6. Switch ON the IOPtiMate TM system and the laser system 7. Perform the daily tests (mandatory!) IOPtiMate TM System Set-Up 12 IOP (07)

 Verify that the dovetail is firmly connected to the microscope 2 Setting the BMU adaptor on the microscope 13 IOP (07)

Setting the BMU adaptor on the microscope  Slide the adaptor (1) onto the dovetail until the end of its movement range (2)  Tighten the fixation screw (3) by hand  Check that the adaptor hole and the OM are aligned by looking through the OM eyepiece. ** if needed change the dove tail insert part (see slide #6) location by using hex key 2mm– open screws (3) Setting the BMU adaptor on the microscope 3 14 IOP (07)

1.Verify that the BMU is undamaged - Inspect the focusing lens and gold folding mirror for substantial dirt or damage Optics as seen through the folding mirror 2.Mount the BMU onto the adaptor, manually lock with the 2 Fixation screws Loading the BMU on the adaptor 15 IOP (07)

Loading the BMU on the adaptor 3.Tight the Safety screw with hex key 2.5mm, then open ¼ turn 4.Open Fixation screws ~1 turn. Verify that BMU is secure and rotates freely 5.Tighten again the two Fixation screws to fix the BMU in the desired rotational position Loading the BMU on the adaptor 16 IOP (07)

Attaching the Control Unit to the Laser system Attach the Control Unit to the laser system via the cradle.  Slide the control unit into the cradle  Verify the Control Unit is positioned correctly and securely Attaching the Control Unit to the Laser system 17 IOP (07)
