+ Scoring for Impaction See page 2 of BS information packet for details (TEAS Score divided by 30) + GPA for 5 prerequisites GPA for 5 prerequisites must be at least a 3.0 GPA for supplemental is 3.0 ( but not used for calculating impaction score) The selection of SJSU nursing students for each cohort is solely based on the students’ impaction scores Side Note: The cutoff score for Fall 2015 was 7.22 [must still meet supplemental criteria of 3.0, complete a background check, and get a drug clearance]. The score for Fall 2014 pool was 7.09 initial cut. Recent pools cutoffs were similar. In the future scoring may look different b/c of TEAS score divided by

+ SJSU Studies Exemption Second Baccalaureate students who earned their first Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States: SJSU Studies Area R and Area V are exempted MUST still take NURS 138 and Area Z (HPROF 100W) 56

+ SJSU Studies Timeline What happens if I get admitted as a transfer student to the university, but still do not have all prerequisite courses or nursing requirements completed (i.e. TEAS)? Answer: You are NOT eligible to apply to Nursing, but you may start taking your SJSU Studies courses if you have passed the WST exam 57
