(B) use a problem-solving model that incorporates analyzing given information, formulating a plan or strategy, determining a solution, justifying the solution, and evaluating the problem-solving process and the reasonableness of the solution; This standard adds a real-world application. The problem-solving process is similar to the process used in science.

This standard asks the student to select from a variety of tools to solve a problem. The student is expected to:
